mixed media, oil paints approximately 100cm x 60cms

this painting is my little protest against war.
some lady complained about my painting because it apparently encourages smoking! mmm i dont no i thought my painting was a negative thing

the background?
i wanted to put something in to show that war is a world issue. luckily a library donated an old atlas to me

its on canvas so i'm not framing it. I've had it in an exhibition and its currently hanging in my bedroom. ive had offers to buy but I'm too attached to this one. I'm only just learning how to let go of my precious paintings.

lol I know how you feel. I've always had a hard time parting with any artwork, but one thing that helps me is to know that it is out there being enjoyed by people and shared with the world. i'd still have a really hard time letting go of something like this though..
